2. Personal data

When registering to use our personalized services at The Ayur Yogi you accept our data protection policy and our processing of your personal data. We care about your privacy and do not collect more data than necessary to process your order and support you in education, mentoring or other connected services. 

The Ayur Yogi is responsible for the collection and storage of personal data that you have provided to us as a customer. Your personal data is processed by us in order to process your order and in cases where you have requested newsletters or promotional offers - in order to tailor marketing to your individual needs. The personal data collected are name, address, email- and IP address, probably phone number, profession and company name.

Your data is only handed over to third parties if necessary to finalize your booking, delivery or to execute an event. Third parties may be the payment handling banks or companies (such as Swedbank and Stripe), external course directors or email/-newsletter providers.

The information below is a summary of how we store and process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of Sweden.

Personal data is any information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a person.

2.2 What data do we store?

In order to process your order and answer questions related to your order (customer service), we store your first and last name, address, telephone number, email address, profession, company, IP address and purchase and activity history.

2.3 Legal basis

In connection with a purchase, your personal data is processed to fulfill the contract with you.

Marketing, promotions and similar mailings are carried out with your consent, through your subscription to our newsletter.

2.4 What data is shared and for what purpose?

2.4.1. Payment provider

When making a purchase, information is shared with our payment provider. What is stored is first name, last name, address, email address and telephone number. If you choose to pay by invoice, your personal identity number is also stored with the payment provider. The information is stored in order to complete the purchase and to protect the parties against fraud.

2.4.2. Newsletters

If you have chosen to subscribe to our newsletter, your first name, last name, e-mail address, possibly telephone number, profession and company name will be shared with our newsletter provider. This is in order to keep you updated with information and offers for marketing purposes.

We use MailerLite for sending out newsletters and promotions.

2.4.3. Right of access

You have the right to obtain extracts of any information held about you by us. Extracts are provided electronically in a readable format.

2.4.4. Right to rectification

You have the right to ask us to update inaccurate information or to complete information that is inaccurate.

2.4.5. Right to be forgotten

You may request the deletion of data relating to you at any time. There are few exceptions to the right to erasure, such as if it is to be retained because we need to comply with a legal obligation. 

2.4.6. Data protection officer

The Ayur Yogi is responsible for the storage and processing of personal data in the online store and ensures that the rules are followed.

2.4.7. How we protect your personal data

We use industry standards such as SSL/TLS and one-way hash algorithms to securely store, process and communicate sensitive information such as personal data and passwords.

The Ayur Yogi adheres to the principle of data avoidance and economy. We only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to, for the purpose stated here, agreed upon or caused by the law.

3.2. Purposes of data processing by us and third parties:

We process your personal data only for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties for purposes other than those mentioned and for any legal obligation. 

You have explicitly given us your consent by subscribing to us. The processing is necessary in cooperation with you:

  • in handling a contract with you 

  • in processing an order for you

  • to protect copyright interest 

  • to fulfill legal obligation

We have no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in the non-disclosure of your data.

When you access our website, information of general nature is automatically collected with a cookie. This information (server log files) includes

6. Content-management-system

Our website www.theayuryogi.com is based on the platform SquareSpace (www.squarespace.com). The CMS is configured to fully comply with the requirements of GDPR.

6.1. Third Parties Plugins

All used plugins or URL links are 100% GDPR-compliant in the present configurations according to their providers and our research.

6.2. Social Plugins

On our website we offer the use of social media buttons. To protect your data, these buttons are only included on the website as a graphic, containing a link to the corresponding website of the button provider. By clicking on the button, your data will be sent to the respective provider.

7. Facebook, Facebook marketing services and Custom Audiences and groups

The Ayur Yogi uses the “Facebook Pixel” within our online offers due to our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation. The Facebook Pixel makes it possible for Facebook to determine the visitors to our online offer as a target group for the display of advertisements, so called “Facebook ads”. Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel to display the Facebook ads placed by us only to those Facebook users who have either shown interest in our online offer or who have certain characteristics. We also use Facebook pixel to track reach and for statistical and marketing research purposes.

The data collected about you is anonymous for us, so it does not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and can be used by Facebook including their own market research or advertising purposes.

In transmitting data to Facebook for matching purposes, the data is encrypted locally in the browser and then sent to Facebook via a secure https connection. This will only be done for the purpose of matching data with the data encrypted in the same way by Facebook.

Based on our legitimate interests, we use the “Custom Audiences from File” procedure of the social network Facebook, Inc. In this case, the email addresses of the newsletter recipients are uploaded to Facebook. The upload process is encrypted and only used to determine recipients of our Facebook ads, to ensure that the ads only are displayed to users who are interested in our services.
